Dear Family &
Friends,
It has been a great week here in the greater Melbourne
area! We have been doing a lot of work and we have been seeing a lot of
miracles take place! Heavenly Father is definitely helping us in this work and
I am so happy to be apart of the gathering of Israel! Elder Swenson this week
had the surgery on his hand and it went well! They were able to fix the broken
bone and it only took the whole day! haha I waited in a waiting room at the
hospital from 12:30-9:00. The receptionist told me that I should leave and go
see a movie or get something to eat cause he was going to be a while. Then it
gave me a great opportunity to tell her why I couldn't do that because I am a
missionary! I knew that I had been there for a long time when all of the
receptionists left to go home for the day and when the janitor came in and
asked me if he could vacuum. Haha overall it was a really long day for Elder
Swenson and me.
We had a wonderful weekend and I am so happy to inform you
all that Maya, Shane and Toiroa Wharemate were baptized! It was a great day, on
Saturday for the family. The baptism was
very emotional and very spiritual! The whole family was there to support and a
lot of the ward came out to support as well! Brother Wharemate baptized all
three of them and confirmed them too! It was so great to see all of them enter
the waters of baptism and they were so excited both before and after! I am so
happy for them and now the next step that they want to take, as a family is to
go to the temple to be sealed! The ward really wants to help them get there
just like we are! Being able to be here in the area and help the family get to
where they are today is a huge blessing to me and I am so grateful for them in
my life!
I hope that all of you who started another year of school
are enjoying it! Remember to study the scriptures just as much and as often as
your study your subjects! It will help you out in all of your classes and that
I can promise! I love you all and hope that you have a great week! Be safe and
know that I miss you and love you!
